Both Cat cutting edges and end bits are designed as a balanced system to move more material over a longer period with less downtime. Angle iron for finishing: they are recommended for light use, they have the same excavation depth of the cutting edge and protect the blade angle from impact with strighty abrasive material. They are recommended for leveling work.
Anti-abrasive angle iron for impact: they are foreseen for use in particularly abrasive operations. Like clay, peat, lime, sand and gravel excavating. They are characterlsed by an angle of 18° to obtain a better penetration. Hot drawn and forged in tempered steel for greater protection against wear.
Angle iron for general use: the step profile has the same thickness of the cutting edge at the perforated area, and is thicker in the area exposed to wear which extends beyond the support. These angle irons are suitable for almost all applications.
TBROUGB BARDENED BULLDOZER END BITS
They are through hardened tor maximum wear lite and they are made from MT2 and MT3 steel to achieve wear lite match with edges.
The thickness in wear area is designed to produce a favourable end bit-to-cutting edge wear ratio and the side extension, being beyond the sidebar, protects the moldboard.
Five main options are available, with specitic characteristics, having common teatures which help to increase production and to decrease operating costs.
FINISHING DOZING (FD) – They have the same width as the cutting edges and are recommended for finish and semi-finish dozing. They are made from MT2 rolled and through hardened steel.
UTILITY ( UT ) – they are recommended in applications where face-wear is a problem or where initial price is the main purchase criterion. They are made from MT2 rolled and through hardened steel.
GENERAL DUTY ( GD ) – They have a non-uniformity in thickness , intact, they have the same thickness in the bolting area as the bolted aside cutting edge and thicker in wear-area that extends beyond the support.
They are very well suited to most dozing applications. The execution is hot torged and they are made from through hardened MT2 steel.
ABRASION / IMPACT or HOT CUPPED ( HC ) – They are used where both penetration and wear resistance are needed such as dozing clay, loam, silt, sand and gravel. They are teatured tor a 18° angle for a better penetration. The execution is hot Cupped and they are made from through hardened MT2 or MT3 ( on request) steel.
EXTENDED WEAR LIFE ( EWL ) – They have a non-uniformity in thickness. Like tor the GD end bits, they have same thickness in bolting area as the bolted aside cutting edges, but they are thicker and wider in wear-area. The additional wear materiai provides the same durability of the end bit and of the cutting edge, theretore, a pertect ratio between the two parts.
The execution is hot bended and they are made from through hardened MT2 or MT3 steel.
