Cat motor grader cutting edges provide the best balance of abrasion and impact resistance. Both Cat cutting edges and end bits are designed as a balanced system to move more material over a longer period with less downtime. This is accomplished by providing great strength for superior breakage resistance, and by offering maximum wear protection from both bottom and face wear on the cutting edge.
CAST STEEL CUTTING EDGES

If the machine moves during the test, reduce the engine speed immediately, and engage the parking brake. If the machine moved while testing the brakes, consult your Caterpillar dealer for brake inspection and repair. Damaged brakes must be repaired before returning the machine to operation.
Make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and of obstacles.Test the brakes on a dry, level surface.Fasten the seat belt before you test the brakes.Use the service brake holding ability test to determine if the service brake is functioning properly. The service brake holding ability test is not intended to measure the maximum brake holding effort. While the engine is at a specific rpm, the brake holding effort that is required to hold a machine will vary for different machines. The engine setting, the power train efficiency, the brake holding ability, and other various conditions affect the variances in the brake holding effort.Note: A 9U-7401 Multitach Group may be used to perform the following test. While the service brake is engaged, measure the rpm at the beginning of the machine movement. Compare this measurement with the results from the prior test of your machine. The difference between the two measurements is an indication of the deterioration of the service brake system. 4Z-9188, 4Z9188 Cat Motor Grader Cutting Edges 4T2238
